GDS Rental

Drone LiDAR is becoming very popular in the drone precision mapping community and a big part of our business is helping you to enter this space! If your client has specified LiDAR or your chosen solution is LiDAR, perhaps primarily for vegetation reasons, then we can provide this equipment to you through a purchase or a rental.

We have a range of GeoCue TrueView LiDAR systems and primarily rent the TrueView 515 system. These rental periods generally start at one month although for second time renters we can come down to two weeks. These rentals include everything that you need including software, training and support - just add your drone and insurance and away you go.

The other popular option, ideal for smaller jobs, is that we come to site and collect and process this data for you through a Wet Hire agreement. Generally, you would provide the survey control and deliver this data to your client.

So regardless of your experience, future plans, or the size of the job in question, we have a solution for you via our various options.

RENTAL REQUIREMENTS

In order for you to rent from us certain requirements need to be met. Certainly you will need to have the CASA based requirements in place which allow you legally to fly the drone in question. These requirements are as outlined by the Civil Aviation safety Authority (CASA). To take advantage of our rental program certain requirements must be met.

  • Your organisation needs to be flying under a valid ‘Reoc’ and the responsible pilot need to hold a current and relevant ‘Repl’.

  • Insurance covering loss, ‘hull’ insurance, needs to be in place. Our insurance covers the equipment for in transit insurance whilst being freighted within Australia.

  • Your Certificate of Currency will need to list GeoCue Australia as the interested party and will also need to refer to the equipment type and serial number.
